Bartlett Roofing specializes in residential and commercial storm damage restoration! We work with homeowners and their insurance carriers to replace roofs that have been damaged by recent and current weather events.
As a Roofing Superintendent you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects by effectively recruiting, developing, and maintaining subcontractors within your assigned regions.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of the subcontracted crews, ensuring that they adhere to project timeline, quality standards, and safety regulations.
In this role, your contribution will be instrumental in shaping the success and reputation of Bartlett.
By effectively managing subcontractor crews, you will directly influence project outcomes, client satisfaction, and the overall efficiency of our operations.
Pay Range:
$27-34/hour DOEJob Type:
Full-Time, this is not a remote positionEssential FunctionsOversee, maintain, develop, recruit, and hire all subcontractors within your assigned regions.
Recruit subcontractors for each market for the following trades:
roofing, siding, drywall gutters, soffit, fascia, HVAC, electrical, etc.
Negotiate a proper working price for subcontractors based on the current labor rates for the applicable market(s).
Ensure all subcontractors are properly licensed and insured along Bartlett standards for the market area(s) they will be working in.
Oversee the onboarding, training, and establishment of expectations for subcontractor crews.
Maintain a pipeline of potential subcontractors so Bartlett has options for labor.
Spend a minimum of 25 hours per week in the field alongside the Quality Control team in overseeing and focusing on the quality of work.
Complete at least 1 repair per week with the Field Service Technician that a crew caused.
This will help you understand where our subcontractors are failing.
Meet with the Market Production Manager daily to understand the business needs.
This may require filling in for Quality Control Representatives, Field Service Technicians, etc.
Solve installation issues when they arise with subcontractors.
Collaborate closely with Production Managers to grasp the market's demands and determine areas where crew members may require training, education, workforce reduction, cost recovery, or potential termination.
Keep labor percentage at or below the agreed-upon goal set by the Operations Manager (currently 21%).
Work directly with Production Managers and Schedulers to keep the install backlog at or under 2 weeks or 13 working days.
Keep turnaround time of our warranties below the agreed-upon goal set by the Operations Manager (currently 7 days).
QualificationsMust be bilingual - Spanish & English fluentMinimum of 3 years of proven experience in subcontractor management within the construction industry.
Minimum of 3 years of roofing experience with asphalt/shingle.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
Must be able to work full-time, M-F 7:
00 am-5:
00 pm.
Clean Driving Record.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
